b. Tell us your company’s general philosophy when approaching a project. What are the key goals involved?
c. Outside of low bid, what strategies do you prefer to employ in selecting subcontractors? In other words, what makes the best subcontractor on a given project?
d. How are different types of subcontractors involved? Compare and contrast mechanical, electrical and plumbing involvement vs. roofing, wall and ceiling etc. involvement in planning and delivery.
e. For more than a decade, the trend has been for owners to hold payments, particularly retention payments for long durations. This is a huge burden on subcontractors of any size as they have to meet payroll, material invoices etc. in order to continue performing. What are the best strategies to insure ongoing and retention payments are made quickly?
f. What new trends do you see in the industry or for your company? How might projects function differently in the coming years?
g. What is the construction industry missing to make it successful in the coming years?
